About Me

I'm a consultant, speaker, and writer who believes that progress comes through meaningful shifts in the systems we build. My work emboldens clients across the nonprofit, education, tech, health, and activist sectors to both make and embrace these changes. Because I come from an underutilized corner of the diversity, equity, and inclusion world — disability advocacy — I know what it feels like to watch guilt and fear consume the process when things get tough. But I also know how to prevent teams from getting stuck there, and instead turn those feelings into necessary action.

Carrie is a wonderful teammate with deep expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion. Her perspective enhanced conversations and revealed paths forward. She constantly works to stay up to speed on the latest consensus and challenges in DEI work, to the benefit of every organization she is a part of.

Consulting

Action Plans for Your Next Phase.

“Working with Carrie to facilitate DEI work was a great experience. Carrie is organized, responsive, thoughtful, and knowledgeable – she leads with empathy and authenticity. It was an honor to learn alongside someone who gracefully pushed my own learning and consistently asked for feedback as we prepared our sessions, resulting in a very high satisfaction rate for our clients.”
— Uzma Chowdhury, Director, oneTILT

Speaking

Moving Conversations Forward.

What amazes me most about Carrie’s leadership is how she shows up for her community and her partners in the work… to help our community expand their own understandings and inspire them to take action. I know I am in good company when I say I have learned a great deal from Carrie and I can do my job more intentionally because of her.
